Dear Parents,

As we go into the home stretch of the school year, I would like to make you aware of some things that will be happening soon.  During the next few weeks, there will be several days of high-stakes state testing occurring.  These test are not only very important for the school and district, but also for your children.  Their results will be used to determine future class placement, diploma routes, and even rewards.  It is very important for students to be at school every day, but it is even more important that they are in school for the rest of this school year.  Teachers are working very diligently to prepare students for state tests, and when students are absent, they miss pertinent material.  Some of our most powerful teaching moments occur in the last hour of the school day.  Please help us prepare your children for their future by making sure they are in school.  Doctor, dentist, and any other appointments should be scheduled for after school hours, if possible.

The testing schedule is as follows:
PARCC PBA                        March 23rd-April 9th

PARCC EOY                        April 27th-May 22nd

Thank you for helping us keep absenteeism and checkouts to a minimum.

Sincerely,

Phil Webb
