Summer Reading Camp, 2015
Summer Reading Camp has started! Elizabeth Lunn (track/cross country), Trevor Morgan (baseball/football), and Coach Brian Morgan gave our reading camp students brain breaks and high fives to kick off PCSD's TEAM READ summer reading camp! Student athletes will be a part of the camp daily to encourage and read to our summer reading camp participants. Our Warriors excel both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. Go Warriors!

Pontotoc City School District Honored as “A” District Award Winner by PREPS
MISSISSIPPI STATE, MS—The Pontotoc City School District has been recognized at the recent statewide conference of the Program of Research and Evaluation of Public Schools (PREPS) for being named an “A” School District under the new Mississippi School Accountability System. Local schools from the Pontotoc City School District have also been recognized at the recent statewide conference of the Program of Research and Evaluation of Public Schools (PREPS) for being named as a Value Added School.
The “A” District Award is presented to school districts that have scored the highest rating in the Mississippi School Accountability System. This year the Pontotoc City School District was one of nine recipients of this prestigious award.
PREPS is a private non-profit consortium of school districts whose purpose is to develop and implement educational products and services that help manage and support districts' efforts to demonstrate improvement in their instructional programs. PREPS is supported by the College of Education at Mississippi State University and is housed in the Center for Educational Partnerships, the service division of the college. Collaboration among member districts enables the districts to benefit from the development of products and services that no single district is capable of developing alone.
